A new kitchen arrives in dozens of boxes, and the walls in an Istrian house are rarely straight. Fitting it well means levelling the cabinets on an uneven floor, cutting the worktop around old stone walls, and getting water, drainage and power to the right places. We take care of the installation and bring in a plumber and an electrician from our network where they are needed, so you have one contact instead of three.
What we do
- Kitchen installation. Assembling and levelling cabinets, fitting and cutting worktops, cut-outs for the sink and hob, installing doors, handles and plinths.
- Appliances and connections. Built-in oven, hob, dishwasher and extractor fitted, with the water and electrical connections done by the right trade.
- Furniture assembly. IKEA and other flat-pack furniture: beds, wardrobes, shelving, sofas, outdoor furniture.
- Custom furniture. Made-to-measure wardrobes, shelving and storage for sloping ceilings, alcoves and thick stone walls where standard sizes do not fit.
- Mounting and finishing. TVs, shelves, mirrors and curtain rails drilled and fixed, silicone joints along worktops and splashbacks.

Planning a kitchen in an Istrian house
In older houses the kitchen is often small, with one window and pipes in the wrong place. Before you order, it helps to know where water, drainage and power can realistically go. Our guide to kitchen renovation in an Istrian home covers layouts, worktops and kitchens for holiday use. If the room is being renovated anyway, plumbing and electrical work go in first, then tiling or flooring, and the kitchen last.
How it works when you are abroad
- You order the kitchen or furniture, or tell us what you need, and send photos and the plan on WhatsApp.
- We give you a rough range for installation and agree a date around the delivery.
- We can receive the delivery at the house and check the boxes for damage.
- Everything is installed and connected, and you get photos of the finished kitchen or room.
Holiday homes and rentals
Many owners furnish an apartment for guests in one go: kitchen, beds, wardrobes, a TV on the wall, mirrors in the bathroom. We can assemble and install it all in a few visits before the season. If you are turning a house into rental units, see converting a house into holiday apartments, and for the last checks before guests arrive, our holiday home maintenance service.
What affects the price
The number of cabinets and appliances, worktop material and how many cuts it needs, how uneven the walls and floor are, and whether plumbing and electrical connections have to be moved. For furniture, it is mostly the number and size of pieces. Custom furniture depends on the design and materials. We work across Istria, from Umag, Novigrad and Poreč/Parenzo to Rovinj/Rovigno, Pula/Pola and Labin.
Send us the kitchen plan or a list of furniture with a few photos of the room on WhatsApp, and we will give you a rough range for the installation.
